Refunds: how they work and when to expect them

Refunds go back to the original payment method you paid with. Once we've processed one, it usually takes 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Why it takes a few days

The delay is on the banking side, not ours. Once we process a refund it leaves us immediately, then your bank or card issuer decides when it posts to your account. Card refunds are usually the slowest part of the chain.

If you paid with a wallet like PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, the refund goes back through that same route.

How do I know it's been processed?

Message us with your order number and we'll tell you the exact date it was processed on our side. From that date, count 5 to 10 business days.

If it's been longer than that, tell us and we'll chase it. Sometimes a bank needs a reference from us before it will release the funds, and we can provide that.

Can it go to a different card?

No. Refunds can only go back to the payment method used for the original order. If that card has been closed or replaced, your bank will usually still route it to your account — speak to them if it doesn't appear.

The refund amount looks wrong

Send us the order number and the amount you received, and we'll check it against the order rather than guess. If we've got it wrong, we'll fix it.

I used Afterpay or Shop Pay Installments

The refund still comes from us, but how it applies to your remaining instalments is handled by Afterpay or Shop Pay. They'll either reduce your future payments or return what you've already paid. Their app or account page will show the current position.

I paid with a discount code

Refunds are for the amount you actually paid. If a code brought the price down, the refund reflects the discounted amount.

I ordered on Amazon

Amazon processes those refunds on their own timeline. You'll find the status in your Amazon account under Your Orders. We're not able to see or process Amazon refunds.

I've raised a dispute with my bank

Let us know. Once a chargeback or dispute is open, the process moves to your bank and we're limited in what we can do directly, so it's usually faster to let us sort it first.
